Head, Construction - Offshore Brownfield Modification

About the role

This Head, Construction position leads brownfield modification projects and is accountable for the overall leadership, planning, management, coordination and execution of offshore construction activities, including fabrication, offshore installation, well hook-up, tie-ins, shutdowns, modifications, asset integrity projects, commissioning support and project handover. It acts as the focal point for construction interfaces between Projects, Operations, Maintenance, Marine, Drilling, Engineering, Commissioning and Contractor organisations.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure all activities comply with the approved Scope of Work, AFC drawings, engineering design requirements and QatarEnergy safety, environmental and technical standards.
• Deliver construction safely, efficiently and cost-effectively while minimising impact on production and maintaining asset integrity.
• Manage major EPIC contractors and complex multi-disciplinary project teams.
• Review and approve contractor installation engineering, procedures, analyses, drawings, schedules, risk assessments and readiness dossiers.

Required profile

• B.Sc. in an engineering discipline or equivalent from an internationally recognised university.
• Minimum 15 years of relevant project experience, of which 10 years in project management in the offshore oil and gas industry.
• Demonstrated experience in engineering, procurement, fabrication, transportation, installation, commissioning and handover of offshore brownfield modification projects.
• Extensive offshore brownfield construction experience within operating facilities.
