Head of Physical Education (Whole School – Male)

About the role

Nord Anglia International School Al Khor is seeking an experienced Head of Physical Education to lead the male department across the whole school. The role starts on 1 August 2026 and involves shaping a curriculum that aligns with the UK National Curriculum and prepares students for IGCSE and A‑Level examinations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a fit‑for‑purpose Physical Education curriculum for secondary students.
• Lead, mentor and evaluate a team of PE teachers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Manage resources, timetabling, and budgeting for the department.
• Analyse performance data and use quality‑assurance feedback to set improvement priorities.
• Engage students, parents and the wider Nord Anglia community to promote active participation in sport.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in a secondary school setting.
• Strong track record of curriculum development and staff development.
• Excellent communication, motivation and change‑management abilities.
• Ability to work within Qatar visa regulations, holding a relevant teaching qualification.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of the Physical Education National Curriculum, IGCSE and A‑Level curricula.
• Experience in resource management, curriculum planning and data analysis.
