Head of Quality (Assurance) – Offshore Compression

About the role

Airswift is seeking a Head of Quality (Assurance) to lead quality activities for a major oil & gas operator in Qatar. The role covers the full project lifecycle from conceptual design through commissioning for offshore compression projects.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all quality‑assurance activities for internal teams and more than 200 external contractors, subcontractors and vendors.
• Oversee the implementation and enforcement of the Quality Management System across 15+ active projects valued at over US$100 billion.
• Ensure smooth startup, transition to permanent operations, and flawless project hand‑over to operations.
• Provide oversight under tight schedules while maintaining transparency for all shareholders.
• Collaborate with project managers to integrate quality requirements despite varying schedule and budget constraints.

Required profile

• Minimum 180 months (15 years) of experience in quality assurance within the energy/oil‑gas sector.
• Proven ability to lead large‑scale, multi‑project environments and manage relationships with numerous third‑party vendors.
• Experience with offshore compression projects and handling high‑value contracts.
• Strong capability to work under time pressure and deliver high‑quality outcomes.
