Highway Design Engineer

About the role

Parsons is seeking a Highway Design Engineer to join its Qatar team. You will be responsible for planning and designing complex road and highway projects, shaping critical infrastructure that enhances mobility, safety, and connectivity for local communities.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare civil engineering design documents, including study reports, geometric approval drawings, plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Design horizontal and vertical roadway alignments, super‑elevation diagrams, and junction layouts in line with applicable standards.
• Perform quantity calculations, develop construction, detour, signing, and marking details.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary project teams to ensure integrated design solutions.
• Support senior staff in delivering project milestones and provide technical guidance to CAD designers and junior engineers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
• 3–5 years of experience in highway and roadway design, preferably on projects in Qatar.
• Hands‑on experience with Autodesk Civil 3D, MicroStation, and GEOPAK (or similar) tools.
• Strong knowledge of AASHTO design guidelines and geometric alignment design.
• MME certification and fluent written and spoken English.
