Hostess – Restaurant Front‑of‑House

About the role

We are looking for a friendly and professional Hostess to join the front‑of‑house team at Rixos Gulf Hotel Doha. You will be the first point of contact for guests entering the restaurant, ensuring a warm welcome and smooth seating experience.

Key responsibilities

• Answer telephone calls within three rings, using correct salutations and telephone etiquette.
• Take, record, and confirm restaurant reservations and cancellations according to departmental standards.
• Communicate reservation changes to management promptly.
• Maintain a clean and organised hostess stand, menu copies, and check folders.
• Review the reservation book, pre‑assign tables, and handle special requests.
• Greet guests at the entrance, escort them to their designated tables, and present the open menu.
• Ensure guests are satisfied with their seating and maintain positive guest relations throughout their visit.
• Be familiar with hotel services and activities to answer guest inquiries accurately.

Required profile

• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Fluent in English; additional languages such as Arabic or Russian are an advantage.
• 1–2 years of experience in food & beverage or restaurant operations, preferably in a quality hotel.
• Friendly, outgoing personality with the ability to support the operation proactively.
• Resourceful, able to work independently and handle guest requests efficiently.
