HSE Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an HSE Engineer to be seconded to our client in the government sector in Doha, Qatar. The successful candidate will ensure health, safety and environmental compliance of framework contractors and labour camps throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out planned and unplanned HSE inspections of framework contractors’ activities and labour camps.
• Ensure timely closure of HSE non‑conformities and follow up audit reports.
• Review and analyse contractors’ H&S plans for compliance with QCS 2014 and future amendments.
• Support client internal audits and conduct second‑party (BAU) audits of framework contractors.
• Monitor contractor performance, prepare weekly/monthly HSE reports and review key personnel CVs.
• Validate HSE‑related KPI’s for invoicing and coordinate with engineers, contractors and internal departments.
• Prepare monthly H&S performance reports for the assigned catchment zone.
• Implement new business processes, eliminate duplicate activities and recommend improvements.

Required profile

• Proven experience conducting HSE inspections and audits on construction projects.
• Familiarity with QCS 2014 standards and related amendments.
• Ability to review H&S plans, KPI’s and prepare detailed reports.
• Strong coordination skills with engineers, contractors and internal teams.
