Human Resources Officer

About the role

The Arab Center of Engineering Studies (ACES) is seeking a Human Resources Officer to support its growing operations in Doha. You will be responsible for the full spectrum of HR activities, from recruitment and onboarding to performance management and payroll administration.

Key responsibilities

• Implement HR policies and procedures, including performance and attendance management.
• Provide HR advice and support to line managers and employees, ensuring clear communication of policies.
• Coordinate annual performance appraisals and develop training initiatives based on appraisal data.
• Organise orientation programs for new hires and departmental introductions.
• Manage work permits, residence permits, visas, travel arrangements and related governmental procedures.
• Administer employee healthcare benefits and ensure contract compliance.
• Maintain personnel filing systems and update HR data in Mena ITech.
• Handle recruitment activities, maintain applicant databases, verify credentials, and draft offer letters and contracts.
• Assist in preparing monthly payroll, ensuring accurate deductions, commissions, overtime, tax and Zakat compliance.
• Monitor labour incidents, report findings to management and contribute to HR system improvements.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of HR best practices and local labour regulations.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to support managers and staff.
• Detail‑oriented and capable of handling multiple administrative tasks simultaneously.
• Experience in recruitment, onboarding, performance appraisal and payroll processing.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced engineering environment.
