Information Technology Internal Auditor

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Internal IT Auditor to join our client’s team in Qatar. The role focuses on evaluating IT systems, financial and operational processes, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct internal IT and operational audits to assess control effectiveness and governance frameworks.
• Evaluate IT systems, applications, and infrastructure for security, reliability, and compliance.
• Identify risks such as fraud, data breaches, inefficiencies, and control gaps.
• Ensure adherence to standards like ISO 27001, QCSF, NIA, and financial frameworks (IFRS, GAAP).
• Review financial and operational processes for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Prepare detailed audit reports with findings, risks, and actionable recommendations.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to implement corrective actions and process improvements.
• Monitor and follow up on audit findings to ensure timely resolution.

Required profile

• Minimum 7‑20 years of hands‑on experience in internal IT auditing.
• Strong understanding of IT controls, cybersecurity frameworks, and audit methodologies.
• Experience evaluating financial and operational processes.
• Familiarity with GCC regulatory frameworks and standards (preferred).
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, reporting, and stakeholder‑management skills.
