Instrumentation Service Technician – Onsite Service (Qatar)

About the role

ABB is looking for an Instrumentation Service Technician to join its process automation team in Qatar. You will work on‑site with customers, delivering low to medium complexity service tasks while ensuring safety, quality and first‑time‑right execution.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with customers on‑site to identify improvement opportunities and eliminate operational pain points.
• Perform field service tasks, diagnose technical issues and conduct remote or on‑site analysis for ABB instrumentation products.
• Prepare and verify material lists, ensuring all parts, tools and equipment are available and meet quality standards.
• Troubleshoot equipment and process failures, propose corrective actions and recommend preventive measures.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in Instrumentation Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in instrumentation product service.
• Strong knowledge of ABB’s instrumentation product portfolio.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
• Ability to work within a multinational, multicultural team.
• Valid Qatar driving licence or eligibility to obtain one.
