Internal Medicine Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Internal Medicine Specialist to join our multidisciplinary team in Qatar. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive care to adult patients, managing both acute and chronic conditions while ensuring high standards of clinical practice.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat a wide range of adult medical conditions.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments, examinations, and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Manage chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, respiratory and cardiovascular disorders.
• Order, interpret, and evaluate laboratory tests and diagnostic imaging.
• Prescribe medications, monitor therapeutic response, and adjust treatment as needed.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to optimise patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Educate patients and families on disease prevention, treatment options, and lifestyle modifications.
• Participate in emergency and on‑call duties as required.

Required profile

• MBBS with MD/DNB in General Medicine or Internal Medicine, recognised by the relevant medical council.
• Minimum two years of post‑specialisation experience as an Internal Medicine Specialist.
• Successful clearance of the Qatar Prometric Examination.
• Eligibility for Qatar DataFlow verification and medical licensing.
• Strong clinical decision‑making and diagnostic abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in English; Arabic language skills are an advantage.
