IT Support Analyst

About the role

The IT Support Analyst will provide day‑to‑day technical assistance to the subsurface IT section, supporting drilling, rig and other subsurface applications. The role involves troubleshooting, data access support, and ensuring that IT services meet the operational needs of Qatargas’ subsurface teams.

Key responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve operational issues, providing work‑arounds, system modifications, or escalations as needed.
• Configure, install and re‑configure business applications, database management systems and related tools.
• Coordinate data specifications and information flows with stakeholders to align with business requirements.
• Define, document and execute projects, managing risks, schedules and quality plans.
• Monitor support requests, keep users informed and take corrective actions to avoid delays.
• Ensure compliance with information security policies and relevant standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of IT experience, preferably within the oil & gas industry.
• Demonstrated experience in project management and IT support environments.
• Strong knowledge of national and international IT standards.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
