IT Support Engineer (School)

About the role

The IT Support Engineer will ensure the smooth operation of the school's computer systems, networks and related technologies. Working closely with teachers, staff and students, the role involves installing, configuring, maintaining and troubleshooting hardware and software across the campus.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and update school IT policies and procedures.
• Monitor and maintain the school's IT infrastructure, including servers, desktops, laptops and network equipment.
• Install, configure and support operating systems, applications and peripheral devices such as Promethean Boards.
• Provide technical support to users, resolve hardware and software faults, and document solutions.
• Manage telecommunication services (e.g., Ooredoo) and monitor internet/email usage.
• Support rollout of new applications and evaluate emerging technologies.
• Maintain and update Microsoft Classroom, Office suite, and ensure timely Microsoft updates.
• Deploy and manage Symantec Endpoint Protection and tablet applications.
• Prepare IT support for school events and manage emergency shutdown procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in IT services.
• At least 3 years of experience supporting K‑12 educational environments (preferred).
