Journeyman Electrician – Military Equipment Maintenance

About the role

The Journeyman Electrician will provide intermediate‑level electrical support for military equipment, ensuring safe operation and compliance with U.S. Air Force standards and technical manuals.

Key responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, generators, control panels, and specialized equipment.
• Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to locate and diagnose faults.
• Perform testing, overhaul, modification, and documentation of equipment using hand tools and measuring instruments.
• Prepare and maintain required government paperwork and job packets.
• Research, requisition materials, and generate reports as needed.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED with at least five years of relevant electrical maintenance experience.
• Journeyman electrician license.
• Ability to read building diagrams and technical manuals.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license; U.S. passport preferred.
• Eligibility to meet USCENTCOM deployment policies and obtain a residency visa for Qatar.

Required skills

• Knowledge of NEC and NFPA‑40 standards.
• Electrical maintenance on military equipment.
• Modification and repairs of specialized electrical systems.
• Troubleshooting of electrical faults.
