Lead Hydraulic Modeller

About the role

Parsons is seeking a Lead Hydraulic Modeller to join its Doha team. The role involves designing, modelling, and analysing surface‑water hydraulic systems for high‑quality infrastructure projects, while leading a multidisciplinary team to deliver reliable results.

Key responsibilities

• Build, calibrate and verify surface‑water network hydraulic models using InfoWorks ICM and related tools.
• Conduct system performance analysis, development assessments and operational scenario planning.
• Prepare clear technical reports and presentations for clients and internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with the Drainage team to ensure high‑quality deliverables and timely project delivery.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior modelers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 13 years of hands‑on experience in hydraulic modelling for surface‑water infrastructure.
• Proven experience designing surface‑water network layouts and developments.
• Strong knowledge of international codes and standards.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a cross‑cultural team.

Required skills

• Proficiency with InfoWorks ICM (1D/2D models).
• Experience in hydraulic model build, verification and calibration.
• Competence in GIS and spreadsheet‑based data handling.
• Familiarity with StormCAD and Civil 3D (desired).
