Lifeguard / Pool Attendant

About the role

Mondrian Doha, a Mondrian hotel with food and nightlife venues across eight locations, is hiring a full-time Lifeguard / Pool Attendant. The role covers the pool and gym areas, keeping guests safe and comfortable while providing friendly, professional service.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor swimmers and exercise clients, identify hazards and take preventive action, and enforce safety rules on sports and recreational activities
• Clean and maintain the pool deck, gym, changing rooms and restrooms, and keep pool and gym furniture tidy
• Keep track of pool towels and gym towels, getting clean ones from laundry and returning dirty ones
• Answer guest enquiries, resolve complaints promptly and follow up until guests are satisfied
• Collect and turn in lost and found items, and hand them over to Housekeeping with full details
• Sign out and in for keys securely, and collect task sheets, keys and tools at the start of each shift
• Report guest complaints and problems to the Spa Manager and Director of Spa when no immediate solution is possible
• Attend daily briefings, departmental and hotel trainings, and support the department training function
• Comply with fire, hygiene, health and safety rules, and know the location of the First Aid kit

Required profile

• Flexible and able to rotate between departments and places of work
• Punctual, well-groomed and with a positive, motivated attitude
• Good rapport with colleagues and guests
• Familiarity with the hotel's values, environmental charter, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 policies
