Marine Onboard Mechanic

About the role

The Marine Onboard Mechanic will ensure the reliable operation of all mechanical systems aboard the resort’s vessels. Working on marine engines, propulsion units and auxiliary equipment, you will keep the fleet safe and efficient during voyages and while docked.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain and repair marine engines, propulsion systems and related mechanical components.
• Perform routine checks on fuel systems, hydraulics, pumps and generators.
• Diagnose mechanical issues and carry out emergency repairs as needed.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and logbooks.
• Assist with engine overhauls and dry‑docking maintenance activities.
• Follow all safety procedures and environmental regulations.
• Collaborate with engineers and other technical crew members.

Required profile

• Technical diploma or certification in marine engineering, mechanics or a related field.
• Proven experience in marine mechanical maintenance, preferably with onboard experience.
• Strong knowledge of marine engine systems (diesel or gas turbines).
• Ability to read technical manuals, schematics and blueprints.
• Physically fit and able to work in confined spaces and variable sea conditions.
