Marketing and Communications Director

About the role

The Marketing and Communications Director will be the senior champion of corporate reputation, brand equity and stakeholder trust. Reporting directly to the CEO, the role embeds brand and communications governance into business strategy while leading the marketing function that drives growth.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement enterprise‑wide brand governance frameworks to position the organization as a trusted market leader.
• Advise the CEO, Board and Executive Leadership Team on reputation risk, stakeholder perception and corporate narrative.
• Own end‑to‑end crisis and issues communications, protecting brand equity during regulatory, operational or geopolitical events.
• Build and manage government relations and regulatory stakeholder engagement in line with PLC governance standards.
• Lead employee engagement and internal communications to strengthen culture and retention.
• Develop ESG, sustainability and corporate responsibility narratives.
• Oversee brand positioning, content creation across digital, print and broadcast channels.
• Plan and execute corporate events, trade shows and promotional activities.
• Manage digital marketing campaigns, including SEO, SEM, social media and email marketing.
• Mentor and manage a high‑performing marketing and communications team and control the marketing budget.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Background in a publicly listed company, government‑linked entity or similarly regulated organization.
• Fluency in Arabic and English.
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, PR, Communications, Business Administration or related field; professional certification is a plus.
