Mason

About the role

An Accor hotel in Doha is looking for a Mason to carry out masonry and civil maintenance work on site. The job covers plastering, tile fixing, grouting, concrete repairs and finishing, and responding to maintenance requests and emergencies.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out masonry works including plastering, block work, tile fixing, grouting, concrete repairs and finishing works.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of walls, floors, ceilings, walkways and other building structures.
• Repair cracks, damaged tiles, marble, cement finishes and other civil defects throughout the hotel.
• Inspect guest rooms, public areas and back-of-house facilities to identify maintenance needs.
• Complete all masonry work to a high standard and on time.
• Maintain tools, equipment and work areas safely and cleanly.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repairs.

Required profile

• Experience as a Mason, preferably in a hotel, commercial building or facility management environment.
• Experience in preventive maintenance within hotel facilities.
• Good teamwork and communication skills in English.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of masonry techniques, tile installation, plastering, concrete repairs and finishing works.
• Basic knowledge of painting, carpentry or other civil maintenance trades is an advantage.
