Mechanical Commissioning Engineer (6‑Month Contract)

About the role

We are seeking a Mechanical Commissioning Engineer for a 6‑month contract (extendable) to lead commissioning activities on oil & gas, desalination and other industrial projects. The role involves hands‑on testing, troubleshooting and start‑up of static and rotary mechanical equipment, ensuring safe and successful hand‑over to operations.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute and supervise mechanical commissioning, testing and start‑up activities on site.
• Lead a team of field technicians, providing guidance and ensuring compliance with project specifications.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors and multidisciplinary teams to resolve technical issues.
• Document test results, generate commissioning reports and certify equipment readiness.
• Ensure all safety and quality standards are met throughout the commissioning phase.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of mechanical commissioning experience in oil & gas, desalination or similar industrial projects.
• Proven experience working on projects in Qatar, especially in the oil & gas sector.
• Senior‑level expertise in leading commissioning activities and supervising field staff.
• Valid Qatar ID (QID) is mandatory.
