Middle Data Engineer

About the role

Snoonu, Qatar’s leading Super App, is seeking a Middle Data Engineer to strengthen its ETL infrastructure. You will work with batch and streaming pipelines, integrating new data sources and supporting internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Integrate new data sources into existing batch and streaming ETL systems.
• Build real‑time pipelines using infrastructure‑as‑code practices.
• Support the BI team by troubleshooting data quality issues and handling corner cases.
• Assist other teams in extracting data from the warehouse for their applications.
• Participate in ETL system migrations to ensure scalable and performant designs.

Required profile

• Strong programming background, preferably with Python and related frameworks.
• Experience with open‑source data‑engineering tools such as dbt and Airflow.
• Solid SQL knowledge, including subqueries, window functions, and CTEs.
• Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) and messaging services.
