Nurse Practitioner - Women's Services

About the role

The Nurse Practitioner – Women’s Services provides comprehensive, patient‑centered care to women across the lifespan. Working within an innovative care team, the APN delivers preventive, reproductive, antenatal, and menopause services while acting as a patient advocate and educator.

Key responsibilities

• Perform age‑appropriate histories, physical examinations, pelvic and breast exams, and Pap smear sampling.
• Provide routine antenatal assessments, low‑risk pregnancy monitoring, and maternal health screening including blood pressure and fetal evaluation.
• Educate expectant mothers on nutrition, lifestyle, birth preparation, and contraception options.
• Identify pregnancy complications and coordinate referrals to obstetricians when needed.
• Manage chronic conditions, prescribe pharmacological and non‑pharmacological interventions, and order diagnostic and therapeutic tests.
• Deliver menopause management, urogynecology services, and urodynamic assessments.
• Offer patient and family education and act as a key member of the multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Required profile

• Licensed independent Nurse Practitioner with advanced nursing education and board certification.
• Professional mastery of the scope of practice as defined by the Ministry of Public Health.
• Ability to exercise independent clinical judgment and act as a patient advocate.
• Experience working collaboratively within a provider team.
