Oracle ERP Administrator

About the role

The Oracle ERP Administrator manages, maintains and supports Oracle ERP applications and databases. The role covers installation, configuration, monitoring, troubleshooting, patch management and performance optimisation, and includes collaboration with development teams and 24/7 support when required.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure and upgrade Oracle server software and related products.
• Start, stop and monitor application components such as oacore, oafm and Apache, and restart them when needed.
• Establish and maintain database backup and recovery policies and procedures.
• Design and implement database structures for ERP applications, and manage database security, users, roles and privileges.
• Provide technical troubleshooting and consultation to development teams, and interface with Oracle Support.
• Manage patching, upgrades and version control of ERP environments, and tune databases and applications for performance.
• Clone development and test environments from production databases.
• Provide 24x7 support as part of the ERP support team.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in Oracle ERP administration.
• Proficiency in English (reading and writing).

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of Oracle ERP architecture, database design and performance tuning.
• Hands-on experience in patch management, backup and recovery, and cloning.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
