About the role

The Painter I joins Marriott International’s facilities team in Doha, delivering high‑quality paint finishes for walls, ceilings, furniture and other surfaces across the property. You will work on both new projects and refurbishment tasks, ensuring all work meets brand standards and safety requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Apply paint, stain, primers and sealers using brushes, rollers or spray guns.
• Prepare surfaces by stripping, sanding, wire‑brushing, abrasive blasting or other methods.
• Remove old finishes safely and efficiently.
• Cover and protect adjacent areas, post appropriate signage, and clean up tools and equipment after each job.
• Coordinate with vendors to adjust colors, stains or varnishes as required.
• Follow all company safety, security and environmental policies.
• Assist guests and staff courteously, maintaining a professional appearance.

Required profile

• Technical, trade or vocational school qualification.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant painting or surface‑finishing experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Ability to work at heights, lift up to 50 lb, and perform physical tasks such as bending, twisting and stooping.
• Commitment to safety training, confidentiality and protection of company assets.

Required skills

• Paint application using brushes, rollers and spray guns.
• Surface preparation techniques (stripping, sanding, abrasive blasting).
• Use of ladders and basic height‑safety equipment.
