Part-time PhD Peer Reviewer – Geological Engineering

About the role

We are seeking experienced researchers with a PhD in Geological Engineering or related fields to join our editorial team as part‑time peer reviewers. This long‑term, remote position involves evaluating scholarly manuscripts submitted to academic journals.

Key responsibilities

• Assess the novelty and originality of submitted manuscripts.
• Evaluate study design, methodology, and reproducibility.
• Verify that literature reviews are comprehensive and up‑to‑date.
• Analyze results and conclusions for clarity and scientific validity.
• Provide constructive, written feedback highlighting strengths, weaknesses, and any ethical concerns.
• Recommend acceptance, revision, or rejection to the journal editor.

Required profile

• Doctorate (PhD) or equivalent in Geological Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• At least five peer‑reviewed papers published in SCI/SSCI journals within the last three years.
• Strong understanding of research methodologies and ethical standards.
• Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and written communication skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines, maintain confidentiality, and work independently.
• Prior experience as a peer reviewer is highly desirable.
