Partnership Manager – Merchant Partnerships & Loyalty

About the role

We are seeking a Partnership Manager to lead the growth of the merchant ecosystem for a leading regional bank’s card portfolio in Qatar. The role is based in Doha for an 18‑month on‑site engagement and focuses on acquiring, onboarding and managing merchant partners to deliver compelling offers that drive cardholder usage and revenue.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate and acquire new merchant partners across retail, dining, travel, e‑commerce and lifestyle that align with the card portfolio strategy.
• Negotiate and structure merchant‑funded offers, cashback schemes and loyalty rewards, ensuring compliance with regulatory and card‑scheme rules.
• Maintain ongoing relationships with partners, conducting regular business reviews, resolving issues proactively and seeking opportunities to deepen collaboration.
• Monitor market trends, competitor programmes and consumer behaviour to inform a prioritized partnership pipeline.
• Track and analyse partnership and offer performance against targets, providing insights to product, marketing, digital, CRM, risk and compliance teams.

Required profile

• 5–8 years of experience in partnership management, merchant acquisition or loyalty programme management within banking, cards, payments or fintech.
• Proven track record of end‑to‑end merchant partnership delivery, from sourcing to negotiation and ongoing management.
• Strong commercial acumen and analytical judgement, able to interpret performance data and make data‑driven decisions.
• Professional fluency in English, both written and spoken.
