Pipe Fitter

About the role

J&C Trading and Contracting is hiring a full-time Pipe Fitter in Doha. Pipe fitters ensure the functionality and safety of pipes that carry water, chemicals and gases, a role central to manufacturing, construction and utility work. The position requires a high level of technical skill and attention to detail.

Key responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine layout requirements.
• Measure, cut, thread and bend pipe to shape using hand and power tools or machines.
• Secure pipes to walls and fixtures with brackets, clamps, tools or welding equipment.
• Install and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic components of machines and equipment, including pumps and valves.
• Test piping systems for leaks using air and water pressure gauges.
• Follow all safety protocols and regulations during installation and maintenance.
• Work with plumbers, HVAC technicians and project managers to keep work cohesive.

Required profile

• 1-3 years of experience in piping works; industrial or oil and gas experience preferred.
• Able to read isometric drawings.
• Experience in GI/MS/CS piping.
• Knowledge of fabrication, threading and grooving.
• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Valid QID and Ras Laffan gate pass preferred.

Required skills

• Relevant technical training and trade license or certification as required by local regulations.
• Safety training (OSHA or equivalent) is an advantage.
