Planning Manager (Construction)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Planning Manager to lead planning and project controls for multiple construction projects. The role involves developing robust schedules, monitoring progress, and ensuring timely delivery while supporting project teams with complex planning challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, schedules, and milestones using Primavera P6.
• Lead project planning and controls across several construction sites.
• Monitor progress, identify delays, and implement corrective actions.
• Perform critical path analysis, resource planning, and schedule optimisation.
• Support teams with delay analysis, claims, and complex planning issues.
• Coordinate with project managers, clients, consultants, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
• Assist in budgeting, cost control, cash‑flow forecasting, and resource allocation.
• Ensure compliance with quality, HSE, and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare and present progress reports and performance updates to senior management.
• Mentor and lead planning teams, promoting continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of overall experience, including at least 5 years in a supervisory planning role.
• Experience in GCC construction projects is preferred.
• Professional certifications such as PMP, MMUP, or UPDA are an advantage.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder‑management abilities.
