Population Health Research Specialist

About the role

The Specialist, Population Health Research will lead and support research projects that address key health challenges in Qatar. You will work across the research lifecycle, from study design to dissemination, ensuring high‑quality outputs that inform public health policy and practice.

Key responsibilities

• Manage population health research projects from inception through delivery, tracking timelines and deliverables.
• Support recruitment, training, and orientation of research staff and external sites.
• Coordinate with stakeholders such as Hamad Medical Corporation, Ministry of Public Health, Primary Health Care Centers, and Institutional Review Boards.
• Design and execute research methodologies, collect and analyse data, and interpret findings.
• Prepare research reports, academic manuscripts, newsletters, and social‑media content as directed.
• Assist IPH and medical education programs and provide guidance to students and team members.
• Perform additional duties as required to support the research agenda.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MD or MBBS) with a Master’s in Public Health or a PhD in a health‑related discipline.
• 3‑5 years of research experience in Qatar or a comparable setting.
• Proven track record of scientific writing for peer‑reviewed journals and reports.
• Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
• Fluency in English; Arabic proficiency is preferred.
