Primary Years Programme (PYP) Teacher – Etqan Global Academy

About the role

Nord Anglia Education is seeking an enthusiastic PYP Teacher to join Etqan Global Academy, a newly established IB World School in Doha. You will deliver transdisciplinary inquiry‑based learning for primary students, fostering curiosity and international‑mindedness.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high‑quality transdisciplinary units of inquiry aligned with the IB PYP framework.
• Create an engaging, inclusive, student‑centred classroom that promotes agency and a love of learning.
• Use formative and summative assessment strategies to monitor and support student progress.
• Collaborate with grade‑level and specialist colleagues to plan, reflect on, and review units of inquiry.
• Embed the IB learner profile, PYP attitudes, and essential elements throughout teaching.
• Promote student voice, agency, and international‑mindedness across school life.
• Build strong partnerships with parents and involve them meaningfully in their child’s learning journey.
• Contribute to school events, CPD, and improvement activities.

Required profile

• Recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, B.Ed or equivalent).
• Proven experience teaching in an IB PYP school.
• Strong knowledge of the PYP curriculum framework and transdisciplinary learning.
• Excellent communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to reflective practice, continuous professional development, safeguarding and child welfare.
