Principal Onshore Pipelines Engineer

About the role

Worley is seeking a Principal Onshore Pipelines Engineer to lead the design and delivery of on‑shore pipeline systems for major energy projects. The role combines technical authority, project leadership and mentorship across multiple execution centres.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for tendering, estimating, planning and delivery of pipeline projects.
• Initiate and oversee detailed pipeline design tasks, coordinating with distributed teams and GID support offices.
• Act as the discipline technical authority, approving design philosophies and key deliverables.
• Ensure compliance with international codes (ASME, API, ISO, ASTM) and client‑specific standards such as ADNOC Onshore and QatarEnergy.
• Deliver Pre‑FEED, FEED and detailed design within scope, schedule, budget and quality targets.
• Set and monitor KPIs for the engineering team, fostering a culture of safety, quality and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in on‑shore pipeline engineering, including routing, sizing and constructability.
• Proven ability to lead multi‑disciplinary teams and mentor junior engineers.
• Strong knowledge of international and Middle‑East pipeline codes and standards.
• Demonstrated judgment in solving complex technical challenges independently.
