Quality Control Supervisor – Steel Fabrication

About the role

The Quality Control Supervisor will lead QC activities for steel fabrication and construction projects, ensuring all work complies with approved drawings, specifications and quality standards. This role requires close coordination with inspectors, welders, fabricators and production teams to maintain high‑quality output.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor quality control processes for raw materials, steel structures, welding, cutting and assembly.
• Inspect dimensions, alignment, fit‑up, weld quality and structural accuracy against drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate with QC inspectors, welders, fabricators and production teams to resolve defects and implement corrective actions.
• Review inspection reports, checklists and quality documentation, and liaise with clients, consultants and third‑party inspectors as needed.
• Oversee sampling, testing and laboratory inspections of incoming materials and finished rebars, including tensile strength, chemical composition and bending tests.
• Ensure testing equipment is calibrated and compliant with ISO 9001, and approve or reject materials for export dispatch.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in quality control for steel fabrication or construction.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
