Principal Project Controls Engineer (Qatar)

About the role

Wood is seeking a Principal Project Controls Engineer to support the delivery of FEED, Pre‑FEED, brownfield and greenfield projects in Qatar. The role will ensure project work is executed in line with safety, quality, cost and schedule targets.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the focal point with the client and contractor Project Controllers to ensure accurate cost and progress reporting.
• Prepare and deliver Planning Support Packages.
• Manage the overall project cost‑to‑revenue (CTR) budget and cost control.
• Propose, agree and manage payment plans, including milestone payments.
• Prepare and issue project information and reports as required.

Required profile

• Significant experience in on‑shore and off‑shore oil and gas projects, both brownfield and greenfield.
• Proven ability to work within project execution plans, adhering to safety and quality procedures.
• Strong understanding of cost, schedule and man‑hour targets.
