Private Equity Investment Director – Education (Doha)

About the role

We are seeking a senior Investment Director to lead our education investment activities in the GCC, based in Doha. The role will shape the firm’s strategy in K‑12 and premium international schools, working closely with senior leadership and global sponsors.

Key responsibilities

• Originate and screen GCC education opportunities, focusing on K‑12 and premium/international schools.
• Execute deals end‑to‑end, including financial modelling, valuation, due diligence, structuring, negotiation and documentation.
• Structure direct minority equity investments and co‑investments alongside leading global sponsors.
• Prepare and present investment committee materials.
• Steward portfolio assets through board engagement, performance monitoring, value creation and exit planning.
• Support the broader team’s direct, co‑investment and secondaries activities across infrastructure and other sectors.

Required profile

• Proven experience in the education sector, preferably with schools platforms (K‑12, international, premium); GCC or emerging‑markets exposure is a plus.
• Strong track record of end‑to‑end execution in direct equity and co‑investments, including structuring, negotiation and M&A.
• Excellent commercial judgement and ability to lead diligence and present to an investment committee.
• Established relationships across the education ecosystem (sponsors, operators, advisors) are highly valued.
• Fluency in English required; Arabic an advantage. Familiarity with Shari’a‑compliant structures is beneficial but not essential.
• Willingness to relocate to Doha, Qatar (relocation support provided).
