Project Director – PMCM (Doha, Qatar)

About the role

AECOM is seeking an experienced Project Director – PMCM to lead large‑scale project management and construction management initiatives in Doha, Qatar. You will be responsible for delivering complex infrastructure projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Direct and oversee all phases of project and construction management, ensuring alignment with client requirements and organizational objectives.
• Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets; monitor progress and implement corrective actions.
• Lead, mentor, and coordinate cross‑functional project teams, fostering clear communication among stakeholders.
• Manage project budgets, enforce cost‑control measures, and ensure financial accountability throughout the lifecycle.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate risks; create contingency plans to address potential issues.
• Oversee contract management, including vendor selection, negotiation, and performance monitoring.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety regulations, and local construction codes applicable in Qatar.
• Provide regular status updates, milestone reports, and detailed performance metrics to senior management and clients.

Required profile

• Minimum 20 years of progressive experience in project management and construction management.
• Proven track record managing large‑scale construction or infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of project management frameworks and methodologies.
• Demonstrated ability to lead large, multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
