Project Manager - Building Construction

About the role

The Project Manager will lead the delivery of a major building construction project in Qatar, overseeing all day‑to‑day activities from start‑up through handover. Reporting to the Project Director, you will coordinate engineering, procurement, construction, logistics, planning, commercial, quality and safety functions to meet the contract, schedule, budget and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the full project lifecycle, ensuring seamless integration of all disciplines.
• Develop and execute project execution strategies aligned with the approved programme.
• Monitor progress, implement corrective actions and recovery plans as needed.
• Ensure timely submission, approval and issuance of engineering deliverables such as shop drawings, material submittals, RFIs, TQs, mock‑ups and method statements.
• Coordinate procurement to secure approved materials, equipment and subcontractors.
• Facilitate regular coordination, progress and planning meetings with internal teams, subcontractors, the consultant and the client.
• Identify and resolve technical, operational and interface issues that could impact delivery.
• Support commercial and contracts teams in evaluating variations, claims and contractual notifications.

Required profile

• Proven track record managing large‑scale building construction projects for Tier‑1 contractors.
• Strong leadership and communication skills to direct multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to monitor productivity, resource utilization and subcontractor performance.
• Experience ensuring compliance with contractual, quality, HSE and statutory requirements.
