Project Manager – Construction & Fabrication

About the role

ANOTECH is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead safety, fabrication and construction activities for a major oil‑and‑gas project. The role will serve as the primary on‑site point of contact, coordinating multidisciplinary teams and ensuring delivery on schedule, within budget and to the required quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the focal point on‑site for promoting and implementing safety procedures, including safety observation reporting and monitoring.
• Lead the China fabrication team across HSE, Quality, Mechanical Completion, and Commissioning, ensuring alignment with project targets.
• Provide regular updates to the Senior Project Manager and organize briefings during Chinese yard visits.
• Manage site teams, organise training, inductions, and mobilise/demobilise resources, including third‑party inspectors.
• Maintain and update the predictive fabrication schedule monthly, lead risk and opportunity initiatives, and approve contractor progress invoices.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and internal teams to meet construction, safety, quality and mechanical completion expectations.
• Provide technical support for site activities, ensuring alignment with planning, engineering and quality requirements.
• Review, approve and implement contractor greenfield fabrication plans and related submittals in line with EPC contract terms.
• Assess fabrication changes for cost and schedule impacts according to PMOC procedures.
• Mentor trainees, capture lessons learned and contribute to continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in project management, engineering, construction or procurement within the oil and gas industry.
• At least 5 years of senior project management leadership on major oil‑and‑gas projects.
• Proven experience working with EPC contractors, sub‑contractors and vendors, including Chinese fabrication yards.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with multicultural teams.
