Site Engineer – MEP (Rail & Infrastructure)

About the role

Parsons is seeking an experienced Site Engineer to lead MEP construction activities on major rail, tram and infrastructure projects in Qatar. The role involves coordinating contractors, ensuring safety, quality and schedule compliance, and supporting successful project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and coordinate all on‑site MEP contractor activities.
• Develop and track discipline‑specific construction schedules, providing progress reports to the Construction Manager.
• Oversee material procurement and deliveries, ensuring compliance with project specifications and schedule.
• Perform first‑level quality assurance and verify installations against plans, specifications and industry standards.
• Supervise MEP engineering work, provide technical guidance, and ensure required tests and inspections are documented.
• Identify and mitigate safety, health and environmental hazards in collaboration with construction management.
• Liaise with design engineers, third‑party tenants and leaseholders for Doha Metro and Lusail Tram assets.
• Interpret design drawings, resolve technical issues and maintain project records, back‑charge documentation and progress reports.

Required profile

• BSc degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related construction field.
• Minimum 10 years of post‑graduate experience on major rail, tram or infrastructure projects.
• Proven ability to manage MEP works on large‑scale construction sites.
• Strong knowledge of Qatar construction codes, safety standards and quality procedures.
