Protective Coating Engineer – Technical Coordination

About the role

Provide technical coordination and field support for offshore oil & gas modification, maintenance and repair projects in Qatar, focusing on protective coating and painting systems.

Key responsibilities

• Review and interpret project specifications, drawings, coating system requirements and manufacturer documentation.
• Provide on‑site technical support for blasting, surface preparation and coating activities, resolve field issues and monitor progress.
• Identify material requirements, prepare material take‑offs and coordinate procurement and delivery.
• Coordinate with client, QC, coating inspectors and subcontractors to ensure compliance with standards and schedules.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of field experience in protective coating/painting for oil & gas, EPC or fabrication projects.
• Practical experience in offshore platforms, brownfield modification, maintenance or repair projects.
• Ability to read English specifications and technical documents independently.
• Experience with international coating standards (ISO, SSPC/AMPP, NORSOK) is preferred.
