Quantity Surveyor – Estimation Specialist

About the role

The company is looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to lead the estimation function for construction projects. The role involves preparing accurate cost estimates, managing the tender process and ensuring commercial viability from initial design through to project submission.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of competitive advantages and incorporate them into bid proposals.
• Analyse project drawings, specifications and develop RFIs as needed.
• Prepare and verify Bills of Quantities from tender documents.
• Perform quantity take‑off and cost analysis for civil works.
• Obtain and evaluate quotes from subcontractors and vendors, issue invitations to bid and manage the tender submission process.
• Lead the estimation team, assign tasks and ensure timely delivery of commercial packages.

Required profile

• Diploma in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in quantity surveying and cost estimation.
• Proven ability to lead a team and coordinate with senior management.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CANDY (CCS) estimation software.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience with Blue Beam, AutoCAD, ArchiCAD and Revit Architecture.
• Preparation of Bills of Quantities and quantity take‑off.
• Cost analysis and tender documentation preparation.
