Quantity Surveyor

About the role

The Quantity Surveyor will support Baumeister’s construction projects in Doha by delivering accurate cost estimates, preparing tender documentation, and managing commercial aspects throughout the project lifecycle. This role requires strong analytical abilities and a solid understanding of construction contracts.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare precise quantity take‑offs and measurements from drawings and specifications.
• Develop Bills of Quantities (BOQ), tender documents, pricing schedules, and detailed cost plans.
• Monitor project costs, track expenditures, and produce cash‑flow forecasts.
• Review and evaluate contractor and subcontractor quotations for competitiveness and compliance.
• Assess variations, handle contractual claims, and finalize project accounts.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities and conduct commercial negotiations with clients, consultants, contractors, and suppliers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in quantity surveying, cost estimation, tendering, and commercial management.
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts, variations, claims, and final account settlements.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of BIM‑based quantity take‑off tools.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
