Regional Chief Commercial Officer - Middle East

About the role

gategroup is seeking a seasoned commercial leader to steer its Middle East commercial strategy. Reporting to the Regional President and working closely with the Global Commercial organisation, you will drive profitable growth, deepen airline relationships, and uncover new business opportunities across a diverse region.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the regional commercial strategy to achieve revenue, margin, and customer‑retention targets.
• Lead business development initiatives, building a robust pipeline of new contracts and partnerships.
• Negotiate major contracts, RFPs and commercial agreements at the executive level.
• Collaborate with Operations, Finance and functional leaders to deliver customer‑focused solutions.
• Build and inspire a high‑performing, geographically dispersed commercial team.

Required profile

• Senior commercial leadership experience in aviation, hospitality, travel services, logistics, consumer services or a similarly complex international industry.
• Proven track record in business development, customer management and strategic growth.
• Strong commercial acumen with experience handling large contracts and complex negotiations.
• Experience leading dispersed teams within a matrix environment.
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement, influencing and leadership capabilities.
