Rigging Foreman

About the role

Aertssen Machinery Services is seeking an experienced Rigging Foreman to lead crane operators, riggers and mechanics on lifting projects across Qatar. You will ensure all operations follow safety standards and lifting plans.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise crane operators, riggers and mechanics during lifting operations.
• Ensure rigging and lifting activities comply with safety procedures and lifting plans.
• Assist with crane setup and determine appropriate lifting methods and equipment.
• Direct lifting operations and coordinate manpower, tools and materials.
• Read and interpret lifting plans, drawings and project documentation.
• Maintain work records and ensure completion of assigned tasks.
• Enforce safety regulations, PPE requirements and good housekeeping practices.
• Ensure personnel are familiar with emergency procedures and site safety requirements.
• Knowledge of crawler crane assembly, dismantling and safe operational procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 to 4 years of experience in a heavy‑lift organization.
• Experience in construction, industrial, marine or dredging projects (oil and gas).
• Preferred valid Safe Rigging Supervisor Certification.
• Good English communication skills.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of lifting equipment, rigging gear and lifting techniques.
• Ability to read lifting plans, blueprints and equipment manuals.
• Understanding of safety regulations and risk assessment.
