Rolling Stock Technician

About the role

The Rolling Stock Technician will join a metro depot in Doha, Qatar, performing both preventive and corrective maintenance on urban rail vehicles. The role involves diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults and ensuring the rolling stock operates safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on metro rolling stock.
• Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical faults across traction, braking, bogies, wheelsets, doors, HVAC, pneumatic and related train systems.
• Perform inspections, testing, component replacement and fault‑finding activities.
• Support dynamic and static testing as well as routine train maintenance.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and follow OEM, safety and operational procedures.
• Work effectively within a depot environment and coordinate with operational teams.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience with metro, LRT or urban rail rolling stock.
• Proven experience in both mechanical and electrical train systems.
• Strong background in preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Ability to troubleshoot and perform fault‑finding on complex systems.
• Willingness to relocate to Doha, Qatar.
