Rotating Equipment Engineering Specialist – Operations Expansion Start‑Up

About the role

We are seeking a Rotating Equipment Engineering Specialist to support the Operations Expansion Start‑Up in Qatar. The role covers the EPC and start‑up phases, ensuring that rotating assets such as gas turbines, compressors and pumps meet safety, operability, reliability and maintainability requirements before hand‑over to the operating company.

Key responsibilities

• Provide engineering support for rotating equipment through design reviews, studies, commissioning, start‑up, failure analysis and warranty claim resolution.
• Develop and implement surveillance and administration programmes for critical rotating assets to achieve high reliability, availability and cyber‑security standards.
• Define best practices, recommend performance improvements and manage change initiatives.
• Maintain an Issue Register, identify and mitigate technology risks, and prepare hand‑over packages for operations.
• Support high‑risk commissioning activities by conducting system surveillance, tuning and optimisation, and advising operations and maintenance teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related scientific discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of experience with rotating equipment in the oil and gas industry.
• Expert knowledge of large‑scale industrial machinery such as gas turbines, compressors, dry‑gas seals and pumps.
