Scaffolding Supervisor

About the role

Saipem is seeking a Scaffolding Supervisor to join its Subsea Department on a major Qatar project. You will oversee all scaffolding activities on site, ensuring they are executed safely, on schedule and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Promote safe work practices and environmental protection, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
• Coordinate subcontractors and direct‑hired foremen to meet contractual and project requirements.
• Ensure scaffolding works are carried out according to quality and engineering specifications.
• Collaborate with discipline supervisors to plan, modify or dismantle scaffold structures.
• Monitor team performance, report issues to the construction manager and support daily toolbox talks.
• Gather daily data on manpower, equipment, tools and materials.
• Implement the permit‑to‑work system and maintain site housekeeping.

Required profile

• Minimum 36 months (3 years) of experience supervising scaffolding on construction sites.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations and permit‑to‑work procedures.
• Ability to coordinate multiple subcontractors and optimise use of materials and personnel.
• Good communication skills to liaise with other disciplines and the construction manager.
