Senior Accountant

About the role

The Senior Accountant will lead the day‑to‑day accounting function for our Doha office, ensuring accurate financial records and timely reporting. This full‑time, on‑site position supports strategic decision‑making through preparation of statements, budgets and forecasts.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the general ledger and oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable and bank reconciliations.
• Execute month‑end and year‑end closing processes, preparing financial statements and management reports.
• Develop budgets, forecasts and variance analyses to aid management decisions.
• Ensure compliance with Qatar and GCC accounting standards, tax regulations and internal controls.
• Coordinate with external auditors and support audit activities.
• Analyse financial data, identify variances and recommend process improvements.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams on business performance and advisory projects.

Required profile

• Strong technical accounting background with several years of progressive experience, including senior or supervisory roles.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA, ACCA or CMA preferred.
• Experience with accounting software and ERP systems, preferably within Qatar or the GCC.
• Advanced Excel proficiency and solid analytical, problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, able to work on‑site in Doha and adapt to changing regulatory environments.
