Senior Associate – Retail Banking & Operations Audit

About the role

The Senior Associate will support the SVP of Retail Banking and Operations Audit in delivering audit assignments across the bank’s retail banking and operational functions. Working within QNB’s Internal Audit Division, the role provides independent assurance and advisory services, helping to protect the bank’s reputation and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in planning and executing risk‑based audit projects in line with the approved audit plan.
• Develop and maintain the audit universe for retail banking and operations.
• Apply advanced data‑analytics techniques and continuous auditing to improve efficiency and real‑time risk monitoring.
• Ensure all audit work complies with the GIAD Audit Manual, Global Internal Audit standards and local regulations.
• Identify compliance and operational risks, evaluate control effectiveness and provide actionable recommendations.
• Contribute to the group’s audit strategy with focus on consumer protection, financial‑crime prevention and regulatory compliance.

Required profile

• Experience in internal audit, preferably within retail banking or operations.
• Knowledge of GIAD Audit Manual, global internal audit standards and relevant local banking regulations.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to work with data‑driven audit techniques.
• Understanding of risk‑based audit methodology and control assessment.
