Senior Information Security Expert

About the role

The Senior Information Security Expert will lead the development and operation of CCQ’s cybersecurity framework, aligning with Qatar’s National Cybersecurity Strategy and international standards. This strategic position ensures the institution’s information assets are protected while fostering a culture of security awareness across the campus.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain the Information Security Management System (ISMS) in line with ISO 27001, NIST, PDPL and NIA V2.
• Oversee Security Operations Center (SOC) activities, including monitoring, threat intelligence and incident response.
• Conduct risk assessments and manage remediation plans for cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) and network environments.
• Develop and deliver security awareness programs, including phishing simulations.
• Provide strategic guidance on risk management and compliance to senior leadership.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of experience in cybersecurity governance, risk management and SOC operations.
• Mandatory certifications: CISSP and CEH.
• Preferred certifications: ISO 27001 Lead Auditor, CCSP, OSCP, CREST.
