Senior IT Project Manager

About the role

We are looking for a Senior IT Project Manager to lead the end‑to‑end delivery of medium to large‑scale technology initiatives within the financial sector in Qatar. The role will involve coordinating internal teams, external vendors and consultants to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget while meeting regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Define and manage project scope, schedule, budget, risks and resources across regional or multi‑country environments.
• Drive project governance, reporting and stakeholder communication, working closely with senior management and business sponsors.
• Coordinate internal teams, third‑party providers and vendors to ensure seamless execution.
• Apply Waterfall, Agile or hybrid delivery methodologies as appropriate for each project.
• Ensure compliance with financial‑sector and regulatory standards throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of hands‑on IT project management experience, including at least 7 years in banking or financial services.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Finance or a related field.
• PMP certification is mandatory; additional certifications such as PRINCE2, Scrum, SAFe, ITIL, COBIT or PMI‑ACP are a plus.
