Senior Manager – Fraud Assurance & Strategy (Qatarization)

About the role

The Senior Manager – Fraud Assurance & Strategy will lead QNB’s anti‑fraud initiatives across the Group, ensuring that fraud prevention, detection and escalation processes are effective and aligned with compliance objectives. The role focuses on non‑card fraud risks and supports continuous improvement of the fraud risk framework.

Key responsibilities

• Design and maintain a comprehensive fraud risk assessment strategy covering all business segments, customer categories and locations.
• Periodically evaluate fraud exposure, identify potential schemes and recommend mitigation measures.
• Test the fraud control matrix, key control indicators and risk factors to assess the adequacy of existing controls.
• Develop and implement prevention techniques to avoid high‑impact fraud events.
• Deploy detection techniques to uncover fraud incidents when preventive controls fail.
• Monitor the performance of fraud control tools and procedures, providing regular reporting and escalation as needed.
• Collaborate with Group Compliance to ensure alignment with applicable laws, regulations and internal standards.

Required profile

• Significant experience in fraud risk management, compliance or related fields within the banking sector.
• Proven ability to design risk assessment frameworks and implement control measures.
• Strong analytical skills with a track record of identifying and mitigating fraud schemes.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with senior stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
